In a heartfelt ceremony on 8th June 2025, cricket sensation Rinku Singh gets engaged to MP Priya Saroj. Priya Saroj is a Member of Parliament representing Samajwadi Party from Machhlishahr. The event took place in Lucknow, which marked the beautiful start of a relationship which represents union of sports and politics in Uttar Pradesh.
A Ceremony Mix of Glamour & Emotion
The lovely couple was dressed in co-ordinated white and pastel pink outfits, the duo exchanged rings on the stage in front of the friends and family and the world at large. The ceremony was attended by over 300 VIP guests. Priya was clearly emotional, when they exchanged rings, which brought tears to her eyes. The event had lavish vegetarian feast including Awadhi dishes, Bengali sweets and even live counters for the guests.

The event was attended by cricketing heros to National and local politicians. Some of the guests gracing the event were :
- Politicians like Akhilesh Yadav, Dimple Yadav, Jaya Bachchan, Shivpal Yadav and Ram Gopal Yadav graced the ceremony.
- Leaders from the BCCI including Rajeev Shukla, attended the event with cricketers like Praveen Kumar, Piyush Chawla and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, to name a few.
- Strict barcoded entry and police security was ensured for the event, which remained private and sucure.
Love Across Fields & Families
The forever journey of Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj began over a year ago. They were introduced through a mutual friend whose father also played cricket. As per her father, Tufani Saroj, a Samajwadi Party MLA from Kerakat. Both families played a crucial role in bringing the two close and after which discussions were done around mid February after which engagement was formally scheduled.

Both danced on Indian Bollywood songs and their family and friends accompanied them. Priya was very enthusiastic and expressive in her dance. Who Are They?
- Rinku Singh comes from Aligarh , who is an Indian cricketer who has played 2 ODI’s and 33 T20i;s Internationally for India and became famous for five sixes inthe final over during IPL 2023. he plays for Uttar Pradesh and for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL.
- Priya Saroj who is now just 26, was elected as the Member of parliament from Machhlisharhr in 2024 at just 25, making her among the India’s youngest MP’s. Before entering politics, she studies law, completed LLB from Amity University from Noida and had practized in the Supreme Court.

The couple’s wedding is officially scheduled to happen in November 18, 2025 at the Taj Hotel in Varanasi. This engagement beautifully portrays the union of two souls and their family and friends.
