The Indian Television industry mourns the demise of Vibhu Raghave , actor famously known for his role in serial in Nisha aur Uske Cousins. He was fighting from colon cancer since 2022; he was undergoing treatment for the same. In the past few months, his illness had progressed and was not showing improvements. He had himself updated in one of his Instagram post about his condition and prognosis.
A Promising Career Cut Short
Vaibhav Kumar Singh Raghave aka Vibhu Raghave made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his interesting performances. Apart from Nisha Aur Uske Cousins he showcased his talent in shows like Suvreen Guggal and Savdhan India , movie like Rhythm and Yadvi. He showed versatility and dedication to his art and gained appropriate appreciation from his peers and audience.
The Cancer Battle Begins
In 2022 , Vibhu was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer of neuroendocrine type which is considered a rare and aggressive type of cancer. Inspite of the serious prognosis, he approached his disease with courage and transparency sharing his journey on social media to raise awareness and offer hope to others going through similar problems. He posted his story and improvements with his friends and followers on Instagram.
Support from TV Industry Friends
Throughout his cancer treatment, Vibhu received immense support from the TV industry. Friends and colleagues including Simple Kaul, Saumya Tandon, Aneri Vajani and the Maliks organized donation drives to assist with his medical expenses. They had posted on their social media about community support for his treatment procedure. Their cumulative efforts highlighted their strong bond and efforts for their friend Vibhu.
Final Days and Farewell
In the final months of his life, his health had deteriorated significantly. He was undergoing treatment at Tata cancer institute earlier and lastly at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, ultimately losing his battle with his illness. Vibhu’s last rites were performed on June 3 2025, in the presence of family and colleagues from the industry.
Legacy of Strength and Inspiration
Vibhu’s legacy extends beyond his professional work in TV industry. His openness about his illness and determination to fight back the circumstances is inspirational. He became a became a beacon of hope for many and taught us to live fullest even in the face of adversity.
He had once expressed his desire to live until the age 95, a testament to his love for life and unending optimism.After his sad demise, his friends from the industry expressed their love and condolences to him. His funeral was held on 3rd June in Oshiwara crematory. The funeral was attended by industry stars like Karanveer Mehra, Nakul Mehta, Aneri Vajani, Saumya Tandon, Mohsin Khan, Mohit and Aditi Malik and many more to name a few.
Vibhu Raghave’s legacy lives on in his optimism and love for life. He has left a lasting impact not only for his friends and family but also for the fans who had seen his journey from the starting of acting to his cancer battle.
