This story happens on 9 August when in a normal day at the hospital. She was student and Doctor at RG Kar Medical Collage and Hospital. She was at night duty and working in OPD, she was last seen having dinner with her juniors. She wanted to study and take some rest so she decided to go to the seminar hall of the collage. Little did she know that her this step is going to change her life for ever. She last contacted her parents between 11 to 11:30.
In the seminar hall she was brutally raped between 3 AM to 10 AM. Later next day hospital staff found her in semi naked condition with blood in her eyes and an indescribable condition. Collage management tried to display this as suicide but later her private parts were damaged and filled with blood. She was raped and Killed in that room that night. She was an on-duty doctor who could not stay safe in her own workplace.
The local police did not handled the case well and the whole country came to protest. From celebrities to commoners all wanted justice for that innocent girl. The case is now hand overed to The CBI. The IAM has decided to call a nation wide strike and no doctors will be on duty except for emergencies. This has created a nation wide sensation.
People have come to the road, candle marches after candle marches, students, doctors a are protesting and demanding women safety. A movement for national wide protest is going on, justice delayed is justice denied is the old thing that is in the mind of our people.
