India’s fight for freedom was a long and tough battle. From the very start, brave Indians stood up against British rule. Leaders like Gandhiji showed the world how to fight without violence. After years of struggle and sacrifice, India finally broke free on August 15, 1947.
In every school, government organisation and in every house this day is celebrated with patriotism and pride. India is one of the strongest standing nation in the world in every field from sports to finance. India has contributed a significant portion in todays world. India’s journey to freedom was not an easy one. It was all because of the determination, hard work and efforts of our freedom fighters and all civilians that we today stand as an Independent nation celebrating our Independence day.
Indians go crazy on Independence Day! We celebrate our freedom with parades, music, and waving our flag high. It’s a day to feel proud and remember those who fought for our country. Today our Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi will hoist the flag on Red Fort and Address the Nation around 7:30 am. This is going to be the 11 th time of Mr Modi to get this honour after being elected for the third timeconsecutivly. This Celebration will be shown live on Doordarshan.
We Request all our citizens to celebrate this day with upmost respect for those who gave sacrifises for our nation and also remember those soldiers who are still on borders away from every worldly pleasures just to provide security and comfort for all of us. We Salute our Army, our freedom fighters who did all this for us.
